Lorelei Barrett, a sophomore at the Buckley School in California, won the second heat of the Division 5 girls competition at the CIF-Southern Section prelims at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. Barrett covered the 2.93-mile layout in 18:50.8 to produce the top mark among all competitors in the division.
